A while ago SZ tested the difference between a 2.5" and 3" catback and there's barely any when using 3" downpipes and testpipes. If you're down to work on your own car and trying to recover for a little while, a pair of cheapo 2.5" downpipes and testpipes will be LOADS better than stock, and the stock catback won't be a huge loss. It'll let you enjoy the car until you pony up to do the exhaust properly.
